I first met Alice in 1997, when I joined her intercessory prayer team to Cambodia. I shall always be thankful that God used her to open the door to Cambodia for me. Since that time we have been firm friends and shared some amazing adventures in missions into Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Alice was a wonderful lady. She was gifted in seeing potential in people and seeing them launched into new ministries. Alice was involved in the establishment of Reverse The Curse of Land Mines in Cambodia from the beginning and she was a foundation member of our Project Board under Australian Mercy. She served on the Board from 2002 till 2010, when she became Chairperson until the illness of her husband caused her to resign. During those years she was our indefatigable fundraiser, joyful encourager and source of experience and advice. We will always be so grateful for her tireless assistance and support.
We are shocked at how quickly the leukemia took her life, but we are also glad that her suffering was short and she is now rejoicing with her Lord Jesus whom she served so amazingly.
I write this tribute to Alice's life with thankfulness for having known her as a dear friend. The Board of RTC Cambodia share my sorrow and thanksgiving to the Lord for her life and service to missions, especially RTC Cambodia.
